Originally from sunny El Salvador, Nati Escobar has been dancing for as long as she can remember. She began her training at a young age with Marcial Gudiel, the founder of El Salvador's National Folkloric Ballet. At the age of 15, Nati discovered Raqs Sharqi (Egyptian belly dance), and would practice alongside DVDs from the famous Bellydance Superstars Jillina Carlano and Rachel Brice. She has been passionately training and performing professionally since 2016.

Her ongoing professional dance training includes an array of Egyptian and internationally acclaimed teachers: Sahar Samara, Mohamed Shahin, Nada El Masriya, Shahrzad, Passant Gemeay,  Sherihan, Oxana Bazaeva, David Abraham, Aida Bogomolova,  Julianna Popovich, Ashley Rihanne, Amir Thaleb, Ranya Renee, and Zamira Menjivar. 

Nati is an active member of the Vancouver B.C. dance community, serving as a coach, choreographer, and performer at private events, restaurants, and both local and international festivals such as Keda Aho Madrid; Bellydance Collective BC's Sunset Cruises; Nada El Masriya's Yalla DanceVancouver; Edmonds World Party; and haflas like MEDA Grand Bazaar.

Nati is dedicated to teaching in an authentic and welcoming way, celebrating the heritage and culture that gave the world this beautiful art form.

Nati was the runner up of the 2024-2025 BellydanceNow International Competition and tied for 3rd place on the Baladi Professional category at Alessandra D'Ambra & Mohamed Shahin's Keda Aho Madrid 2025.
